Hangyang Xinhe Towers – Nanning, China

Associated Executive Architect: BCCI-SZ Architects

Invited Competition: Awarded 1st place

An iconic 250 meter high rise of grade – A office tower featuring unique sky gardens through shifting volumes is the primary feature of this development situated in a newly urbanised district in Nanning. Sitting at the cross road of a major urban re-development, the tower with its unique urban silhouette, creates an urban gateway into the re-development. The 250m tower is accompanied by a smaller 100m medium grade office tower generating an urban skyline profile. The shared retail/entertainment podium linking both towers create a synergy between office and retail users, helping to drive traffic into the retail / entertainment spaces. The vertical layering of the podium volume creates a dynamic relationship with the large plaza plaza facing the primary boulevard and green belt.
